Watch the Solar Eclipse in Mad. Sq. Park!

On Monday, August 21 the United State will witness a solar eclipse—the first total eclipse viewable from across the US in 99 years. While 16 states will witness a total solar eclipse, in NYC we will experience a partial eclipse of about 70% of the sun. But don’t fret, as the partial eclipse will surely be an unbelievable sight you will never forget!

In order to allow for eclipse-gazing we’ll make sure we have plenty of space in the Park and on the lawns! Remember that you can’t look directly into the sun (unless you have verified eclipse glasses).

Maximum eclipse viewing is at 2:44pm sharp, but a partial eclipse can be seen from 1:23-4pm.
