Mad. Sq. Reads: Eli Gottlieb
For this season’s last edition of Mad. Sq. Reads, Michael Hainey will join us to interview journalist and author, Eli Gottlieb. Gottlieb’s newest title, Best Boy, was met with widespread acclaim, lauded as, “a remarkable achievement–an intimate and convincing portrayal of what the world looks like from inside the mind of a mentally handicapped but unusually sensitive, observant, and decent man.” Gottlieb is the winner of the the Rome Prize and the McKitterick Prize, Best Boy is his 4th novel. Michael Hainey has been working in magazines for more than twenty-five years, as a writer and editor. Currently, he is the Deputy Editor of GQ.
Join us in the North end of Mad. Sq. Park on the steps of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Farragut Monument to celebrate this author, and to hear him read a passage from his extraordinary novel.
