10 YEARS OF CELEBRATE FLATIRON CHEFS!
Famed neighborhood restaurants, Cheflebrities, and artisanal beverage purveyors descend on Madison Square Park in support of public green space.
New York, NY (June 3, 2014) —
Celebrate Flatiron Chefs!, hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy, is the highly anticipated annual gathering of beloved restaurants, well-respected chefs, and artisanal drink purveyors from the Flatiron district and surrounding neighborhoods. Held from 5:30-8:30pm on July 15, guests will enjoy a plethora of delectable dishes and refreshing beverages all while enjoying the scenery of the historic Flatiron district and the atmosphere provided by Mad. Sq. Art’s world class art program, lush trees, and vibrant flowers in Madison Square Park.
Since the inaugural Celebrate Flatiron Chefs! in 2005, guests have grown accustomed to the excellent mix of neighborhood mainstays and fresh new talent — and this year’s event is no different. We are pleased to share an exciting list of new participants including new neighborhood hotspots abc cocina, Bo’s Kitchen & Bar Room, The John Dory Oyster Bar, Raymi, and Cafe El Presidente. Altogether, 31 fantastic restaurants and chefs – including returning favorites Eleven Madison Park, Maialino, ilili Restaurant, Hanjan, and Resto – will bring their culinary acumen, contributing to the most diverse and talented group of Celebrate Flatiron Chefs! yet.
While Celebrate Flatiron Chefs! was created to highlight the neighborhood’s vaunted chefs and restaurants, the beverage section has steadily grown into prominence as an institution in its own right. Notable beverage participants include a stellar ‘liquor row’ headlined by Four Roses Bourbon, Greenhook Ginsmiths, and El Buho Mezcal, as well as copious beer and wine from Long Island Wine Country, Brooklyn Brewery, The Bronx Brewery, and Rockaway Brewing Co. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic thirst quencher, we will have an abundance of beverages to suit your need, including Acqua Panna, GuS — Grown-up Soda, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and San Pellegrino.
Tickets are $350 for early admission at 5:30pm, or $200 for general entry at 6:30pm and can be purchased at madisonsquarepark.org or by calling 212.325.8466. Funds raised support Madison Square Park’s horticulture, maintenance and free cultural programs, including Mad. Sq. Art, Mad. Sq. Music, and Mad. Sq. Kids.
