Preparing for Spring
Did you know that fall is the best time to plant spring bulbs? Our green team will plant over 60,000 bulbs with help from volunteers this November. Most spring-blooming bulbs require a period of cold weather, known as a vernalization period, in order to produce their flowers come springtime. The bulbs we plant will remain happily dormant in the soil, springing to life when temperatures warm up in March. The 2020 spring bulb display will be blooming in March through June and will celebrate international gardens, featuring flowering bulbs from all over the world.
