Summer Nights: Tribu Baharú
Enjoy our Summer Nights concert series, featuring a list of talented acts from around the world that will make your night in the Park unforgettable. This week’s performance will be Tribu Baharú on July 26.
Tribu Baharú is an afro-champetúo ensemble of musicians from the Colombian Caribbean. Their live performances stay true to the particularity of the traditional Colombian dances of “Verbena,” which generate an emotional state in the dancers. The band formed in 2009, when a group of friends with an affinity for afro-caribean music began to meet with the intention of making people dance. Tribu Baharú is currently the #1 Afro-Champeta dance band from Colombia’s Atlantic coast, and is making waves on the World Music circuit.
Every Wednesday, from July 12 to August 16, join us in the Park for Mad. Sq. Music: Summer Nights, and enjoy a warm night in the Park set to the tunes of world-class musicians. This Program is free and open to the public, rain or shine.
