National Public Gardens Week at the Park
National Public Gardens Week is here, and as a member of the American Public Gardens Association and an accredited arboretum, Madison Square Park Conservancy is committed to building vibrant gardens dedicated to community engagement and environmental responsibility.
Now, more than ever, we’re so aware of how urban parks and gardens are good for mental and physical health—they are also powerful tools for urban communities. And during these trying times, we are pleased to be one of the few places where one can safely experience and connect with nature. Studies have shown that plants help us heal faster and can vastly improve mental health, and these benefits can be felt from afar. Even looking at photos of plants has shown to improve our mental and physical health.
