Madison Square Park Conservancy is responsible for the maintenance of the park’s lawns. Lawns are open daily for public use starting at 10 AM through 5 PM, weather permitting. Lawns are closed on Parade Days.  Learn more about park hours and rules by visiting our FAQ page.

Waste Warrior

As a Madison Square Park Waste Warrior, you will join our team to improve recycling and composting efforts and educate community members on best practices for reducing waste. To inquire, email volunteer@madisonsquarepark.org with the subject line “Waste Volunteer” and include:

Horticulture Volunteer

As a Madison Square Park Horticulture Volunteer, you will support our team of world class Horticulture experts to help keep our Nationally Accredited Level II Arboretum a thriving green oasis of beauty and serenity. To inquire, email volunteer@madisonsquarepark.org with the subject line “Horticulture Volunteer” and include:

Photography Volunteer

Our team is always looking for great Photography Volunteers to help document the unique events, moments, and stories of Madison Square Park. This volunteer will work with our Communications staff and other team members to create a lasting record of our green space. Event Volunteer

Help support and bring to life events in our park managed by our conservancy team, which are fun, engaging ways to connect with neighbors and New Yorkers from all over. To inquire, email volunteer@madisonsquarepark.org with the subject line “Event Volunteer” include:

Bench Dedications
