Parktoberfest 2017 Recap

Thank you to all of the Park neighbors and friends who came to Madison Square Park on Wednesday, October 11th for Parktoberfest, our second annual fall fundraiser and night of food, fun, drinks, and dancing. Guests congregated under a tent on the Oval Lawn and were greeted by DJs Sbarro Soundsystem, as well as by a plethora of amazing neighborhood eateries and fine drink purveyors including Aldea, Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, Belgian Beer Cafe NoMad, Birch Coffee, Covina, The Drop Wine, Hill Country Barbecue MarketJosh Cellars, Little Beet Table, Park Avenue AutumnRedemption Rye WhiskeyTarallucci E Vino, and wagamama. Closing out the night was amazing pop-rock cover band, Lester Holt and the Rough Cuts!

Parktoberfest raised an incredible $170,000, all of which will support the Conservancy’s maintenance of the Park’s majestic tree canopy, including the protection of the perimeter trees which features 33 new tree guards and the planting of some new trees next spring, extending the Park’s greenery onto its perimeter.

We’d like to give a special thank you to the restaurants, chefs, and beverage participants for their amazing generosity, which truly made it a very special night for Madison Square Park. We also want to give a huge thanks to the Parktoberfest Benefit Committee, including co-chairs Melissa & Dan Berger, Erica & Anand Desai, Fifteen Madison Square North, Grey Group, Carol Hagen-Holt & Lester Holt, Himmel + Meringoff Properties, LLC, Lee Heh Margolies & Ken Maiman, Kristen & Patrick McMahon, Meringoff Properties, Inc., Kendra & Jeffrey Simes, and Jason Vacker!
