On Wednesday, February 28th, Madison Square Park Conservancy honored Anthony Carvette, President of Structure Tone at the 13th annual Mad. Sq. Award Breakfast.
Tony was a Conservancy Trustee from 2004-2010 and instrumental in launching the Mad. Sq. Award Breakfast. Tony and Structure Tone have played a crucial role in bringing to life the neighborhood that surrounds our Park by putting their stamp on buildings such as Eleven Madison, 200 Fifth Avenue, and The Edition Hotel. His leadership and vision have been vital to the resurgence and vibrancy of this neighborhood.
A Successful Event
This year’s Award Breakfast was a tremendous success, raising more than $255,000 and gathering more than 150 of the area’s real estate owners, contractors, corporate and residential neighbors, trustees, and Park friends. The Mad. Sq. Award Breakfast was held at The Prince George Ballroom, just steps from the Park, where guests were treated to a delicious meal by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events. The handsome award was designed and donated by past Mad. Sq. Awardee, Tiffany & Co. Special thanks to our co-chairs Robert T. Lapidus, Edward V. Piccinich, and Jim Donaghy.

The Mad. Sq, Award recognizes a prominent individual or company that has a significant presence in the neighborhood.
Past honorees have included Aine Brazil and Thornton Tomasetti, Edward V. Piccinich and SL Green Realty Corp., Gregg Schenker and ABS Partners Real Estate, Scott Alper and The Witkoff Group, Robert Lapidus and L&L Holding Company, LLC, Tiffany & Co., Grey Group, New York Life Insurance Company, and Credit Suisse. We are delighted to present this prestigious award to Tony, a distinguished member of our community.
Funds raised by the Mad. Sq. Award Breakfast help sustain Madison Square Park in tangible, important ways. These include the underwriting of our world-class horticulture, security, trash removal, and free cultural programs, including our celebrated contemporary art program.
