Prismatic Park: Poets House


As part of Josiah McElheny’s #MadSqArt exhibition, Prismatic Park, Poets House will provide the Park with four artists to participate in artist residencies throughout the summer season, including:

Founded in 1985 by two-time U.S. Poet Laureate Stanley Kunitz and arts administrator Elizabeth Kray, Poets House continues to bring world-renowned poets to new audiences, welcoming poetry experts as well as those new to the art form, every day. Free and open to the public, Poets House’s collection is among the most comprehensive, open-stacks collections of poetry in the United States. After many years in SoHo, Poets House moved to its new home in Battery Park City in September of 2009. Make yourself at home in this LEED Gold-certified modern space with a book by your favorite poet; use our free WiFi with your laptop to create your own work; attend our acclaimed poetry events and poetry workshops; or simply walk around and enjoy the artwork on display.
