Who says too much snow’s a bad thing? Not the people who turned out on their recent snow day for a hastily planned snowball fight in the park! Time Out caught the action and posted a slideshow on their site. Here’s what they had to say:

You may not be too psyched about the heavy snowfall as you wade through gray slush, but we’re here to try and remind you why snow is awesome and rekindle your childlike wonder (remember that?). Firstly, snowball fights, like the one organized by the NYC Snowball Fight Club who mustered around 25 people to do battle on Thursday at 2pm. They even made snow forts. The rules were simple: “No rocks or yellow snow!” Keep an eye on the club’s Facebook page to see if another snowball fight is arranged after we get hit with another storm.
