It was a wonderful and certainly hot summer’s day at our Independence Day Concert here at Mad. Sq. Park. Our afternoon celebration started with Spuyten Duyvil and their folk-Americana songs. Then the Sweetback Sisters brought us some of their sweet country tunes, charming the crowd with the sisterly precision of their harmonies. Last but not least, Noam Pikelny and his band of Friends wowed the audience with his impressive banjo playing, coming back on stage for a final encore. It was a great way to celebrate the Fourth of July 2012!
