Saturday’s concert on the Oval Lawn was a hit! Moving from its usual Studio Series location, the Lawn was the site of an unforeseen reunion between our headliner and opener. Vance Gilbert and Caleb Hawley reunited for the first time in years here on the Mad. Sq. stage. Caleb Hawley, Gilbert’s former student, had the crowd cheering at his lyrical rendition of popular pop songs and later beaming at originals he wrote, one in particular for his four-legged pal who was in attendance, Fargo.

Vance Gilbert headlined the show, pulling off a spectacular set. He shared his beliefs with us and his talent speaks for itself. We were amazed by his vocal dexterity and originality, even closing his set with an unforgettable a capella number. He was truly a delight on stage and off, charming audience members young and old on the Oval Lawn.
