Spring Cleaning

Our dedicated team members* are busy as bees getting the park ready for spring. Today our gardens were groomed of their last bit of winter foliage and received a fresh layer of mulch. If you see tiny orange flags in the Park, now you know that they mark new mulch. We do this twice a year, and for reasons even we don’t understand, the birds really seem to love walking on it!

Tom Reidy, Director of Park Operations and External Affairs, says that the mulch’s purpose is threefold. It enriches the soil and helps retain moisture for our plants to thrive. The rich, earthy color also looks nice!

*Thank you to Richard, Krista, Christina, Brad, Steph, Matthew M., Matthew E., Javier, Alex, and Tom for all your hard work in keeping the Park so beautiful.
