Echo is Here!

At last, the 44′ high sculpture by the Spanish artist Jaume Plensa has landed on the Oval Lawn of Madison Square Park. After three grueling days of installation (and through the rain and 82 degree heat), the sculpture is now complete! We were out in the Park for the entire process, and it was thrilling to be able to watch the sculpture’s assembly from such a close angle. If you are curious about how Echo took her form, take a look at a time-lapse video of the sculpture’s installation.
