The Mad. Sq. Park offices have been abuzz for months over Leo Villareal’s BUCKYBALL, Mad. Sq. Art’s upcoming public art installation – and we aren’t the only ones! The 30-foot tall illuminated sculpture inspired by engineer, theorist, and architect Buckminster Fuller has received some great pre-opening press over the last few months and garnered interest from myriad fields including art, science, technology, and engineering. BUCKYBALL will animate the Southern end of Madison Square Park for visitors of all ages from October 25, 2012 – February 1, 2013.
